HISTORIC GEORGETOWN

As early as 1729, Georgetown was a busy seaport, with cargo ever flowing down-river on barges and flats. Imports and exports created wealth beyond imagination, and by the middle of the 18th century, Georgetown County grew to be the second largest rice culture in the world.

Today, Georgetown, SC is steeped in rich history, with a quaint town square and beautiful surrounding neighborhoods, plantations and landscapes.
